Description |
The school caters for learners with
various disabilities. We have full boarding facilities
and learners only go home at the end of the term. We
have learners who are CP, Amputees quads, MVA’s- all
disabilities. We also cater for the totally blind and
the visually impaired. Our learners go on excursions
every year to various places of interest. Our school is
very involved in sport and cultural activities as well
as academic activities. We have physiotherapists,
occupational therapists, psychologist and have a vacant
post for a speech therapists. The school is well known
for their choir and their support at comrades time when
the comrades time when the runners run past the school.
We have a media centre with approx 20 computers. Our
skills centre is where our learners learn beadwork,
woodwork, cane work, needlework, cookery, soap making.
Our school work is seen countries such as Holland and
America. Our learners have the opportunity of running in
the Ney York City marathon which is run in the November
every year. This school is unique! I could probably go
on and on about our school. They do assessments every
Thursday from 08h00-13h00 and all one has to do is make
an appointment to have the child assessed. If we cannot
help you, we will put you onto another facility that
might be able to help you
